In almost 20 years, Science on the GO! has engaged with over 665,000 students, teachers and members of the community in STEM
As part of the Griffith Science Education Alliance, Science on the GO! plays an integral role in the collaborative initiative between Griffith University, Education Queensland, the Department of Education and Training, City of Gold Coast, the Queensland STEM Education Network and the Science Teacher’s Association of Queensland. This coordinated, region-wide approach to science education employs Science on the GO! to take resources, infrastructure and expertise from Griffith University directly to Queensland’s South East regional classrooms to assist teachers and students in all aspects of science education.
In addition to delivery of specialised technical shows and demonstrations, practical laboratory classes and workshops, Science on the GO! also offers an exciting annual calendar of STEM events as well as a range of STEM programs which create a clear STEM pathway through school to university. We bring together Griffith’s most remarkable scientists, thinkers, innovators and students to create new types of STEM experiences.
Achievement and success
In total, the Griffith Science Education Alliance has delivered $7.4 million of science education experiences to Gold Coast teachers and students over its 16 year history.

Impact and reach
In excess of 600,000 students, teachers and members of the community have engaged in GSEA activities in nearly 20 years. To date, over 50% of first year undergraduate Griffith Sciences students at the Gold Coast campus have experienced GSEA activities during high school. Of these students, over 65% indicated that these GSEA experiences influenced their decision to enrol at Griffith.
