The Academic Grammar and Vocabulary workshop focuses on grammar and vocabulary that are typically challenging for university students. Topics include:
- verb tenses
- academic vocabulary
- complex structures in academic writing.
The workshop begins in Week 2 and finishes in Week 7 of each trimester. Workshops do not meet on public holidays or during the mid-trimester breaks.

The Pronunciation Power workshop helps improve pronunciation skills and build speaking confidence. The workshops aims to:
- introduce the sounds of English that are typically problematic
- improve intonation and rhythm to improve intelligibility
- help students focus on their individual areas of need.

The Scientific Writing workshop focuses on the skills required to write a scientific report. The workshops focuses on:
- the organisation and structure of a conventional report
- the style and layout typically used in reports
- the academic language required for this text type.
The workshop begins in Week 2 and finishes in Week 7 of each trimester. Workshops do not meet on public holidays or during the mid-trimester breaks.
