At Griffith, our libraries are much more than just books on the shelves. We also offer workshops and study tips to help you get the most out of your university experience.

We also provide computers for study and laptops you can borrow, or you can bring your own device and connect to our wireless network.

Earlybird workshops

Trimester 1 - 2018

A little preparation before you start university makes your study experience easier. Prior to Trimester 1, 2018, we are offering Earlybird workshops FREE of charge to our students.

Be pro-active. Get off to a smart start by participating in a range of sessions.

  • Strategies for study at university (2hrs)
  • Writing university assignments (2hrs)
  • Researching and referencing for your assignments (2hrs)
  • Getting started on an ePortfolio with PebblePad (45min)

Orientation Market days

Whether you’re a new or returning student, Griffith’s O-Week and Week 1 Market Days are not to be missed. You’ll find our Griffith Library team at each campus Market Day, ready and willing to share everything we know about Library and IT at Griffith.

We can help you:

  • set up your wifi
  • navigate the Griffith Uni app
  • access workshops to get you uni-ready.

The Library stall usually has a few bonuses, like free USBs, lollies and even fun competitions with major prizes.

Orientation Tours

During Orientation Week for Trimester 3, 23-27 October 2017, take a 15-minute library tour at any of our campus libraries.

Library campus Orientation time
Gold Coast 10.30 am – 1.30 pm daily  (Every half hour on the hour and half hour)
Logan 12 noon-2pm  (as required)
Mt Gravatt 12 noon-2pm  (as required)
Nathan 10 am – 2 pm daily  (Every half hour on the hour and half hour)
South Bank - College of Art and Queensland Conservatorium 12 noon-2pm  (as
required)

* Please meet at the Library tour meeting point in the foyer of the Library; maximum of 15 students on each tour; no booking required.
