Study Plan Registration

It is important to understand that enrolling in subjects via OUA does not mean you are automatically in a degree program or that you will be eligible to graduate.

Undergraduate students, who have not applied or accepted a Commonwealth Supported Place (HECS-HELP), are required to register with Griffith University by completing a Study Plan registration and paying the required fee (non-refundable $150). You should register no later than the completion of 6 to 8 subjects in order to obtain advice and guidance on degree requirements.

Note: If you have accepted a Commonwealth Supported Place (HECS-HELP), you are exempt from completing the Study Plan registration and from paying the registration fee. If you need program advice, please Ask a question.

Undergraduate programs

Griffith University offers a number of undergraduate qualifications that can be completed entirely through Open Universities Australia.

The degree will normally be of three years duration for full-time students. However, part-time students have up to eight years to accumulate subjects towards the degree.

Postgraduate programs

Griffith University offers the following postgraduate qualifications that can be completed through Open Universities Australia.

Students must apply for admission into Postgraduate degree programs via Open Universities Australia.

Once approval has been granted, enrol in units under the award you were approved to study. Enrolling in units outside your approved award will not result in automatic acceptance in another award.
