At Griffith, we’ve sealed our reputation as one of Australia's leading comprehensive research universities, with strengths ranging from the creative arts, social sciences and humanities through to the physical and natural sciences, engineering and IT, health and medicine.

Our research centres and institutes provide a robust framework for focused research and world-leading research outcomes.

The over-riding vision for the Research and Innovation Plan 2021-2025 is for Griffith to fit the profile of a leading (top 200) research university in all aspects by 2025. The Plan sets minimum expectations for higher degree by research education, research publication quality and volume, research income and the performance standards that we expect from staff.

Our research focuses on key scientific questions and social issues confronting national and international communities by bringing together disciplines to find solutions that create social, health, environmental or economic impact–in the same way we have done for more than 40 years.

As one of the fastest growing universities in Australia, Griffith has established strong partnerships with industry, organisations, government and the wider community making it a place where the next generation of researchers and professionals is being nurtured to make their contributions to the world.
