Griffith University providing independent monitoring and evaluation

As part of the Tafea Provincial Government’s revitalisation plan, Category 5 cyclone-proof community buildings, which include solar mini-power systems, are being built in 15 villages on the island of Tanna, Vanuatu.

Griffith University has been asked to provide independent monitoring and evaluation of the project (late 2015-2018), with particular attention to issues such as:

  • social change
  • use and access of community houses
  • use of energy
  • functionality of the renewable energy mini-power systems
