Scholarship details

To be eligible, you must:

  • be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or permanent humanitarian visa holder
  • be a 2023 Year 12 school leaver commencing university for the first time in Trimester 1 2024
  • have received an unadjusted ATAR score of 91.95 or above (or equivalent IB)
  • be eligible for admission into and have applied to commence full-time study in Trimester 1 2024 with one of the following Griffith School of ICT undergraduate degrees as your first preference on your QTAC or UAC application:
    • Bachelor of Information Technology (1538)
    • Bachelor of Computer Science (1534)
    • Bachelor of Cyber Security (1677)
    • Bachelor of Advanced Computer Science (Honours) (1657)
    • Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Information Technology (1045)
    • Bachelor of Information Technology / Bachelor of Business (1570)
  • not be in receipt of any other Griffith University academic scholarship that serves the same purpose.

Study details

  • Secondary education history (commencing students): You MUST include your QTACUAC reference number*.
  • Program preferences (commencing students).

*We will not be able to confirm your results/ranking if this number is not provided.

Statements

  • Personal statement: In 500 words or less, outline your interest in the information technology field and why you would like to pursue a career in IT.

Value

Maximum value of $5,000, paid in two instalments. Instalments of $2,500 are payable in trimester 1 and 2 provided conditions are met.

Payment

Payments are made within six weeks after census date, subject to recipients satisfying scholarship terms and conditions.

To remain eligible for the scholarship, recipients will be required to:

  • remain full-time enrolled at Griffith University in an undergraduate degree hosted by the School of Information and Communication Technology
  • maintain a GPA of 5.5 or above.

The above conditions are verified each trimester at census date. If a scholarship recipient fails to successfully meet these conditions, scholarship payments may be withheld, or the scholarship may be terminated.

Applications must be completed and submitted by the closing date.

Applicants may be shortlisted and be required to provide additional information.
