This scholarship supports a Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University (QCGU) student studying the organ to train under the mentorship of the St John's Cathedral's organist.

- a current Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University (QCGU) student
- studying the organ.

Shortlist information
The selection panel will comprise at least three of the following:
- the Director of QCGU (or their representative)
- one QCGU representative
- the Dean of St John's Cathedral (or his representative), The Organist of St John's Cathedral.
References will be sought for the shortlist.
Decision to be based on experience, potential and need.
Value
This scholarship is valued at approximately $10,000, to be paid in two instalments after census date each trimester. The scholarship also includes one-on-one weekly tuition during the trimester and supervision of the recipient while playing services, by the organist from St John's Cathedral.
Payment
Payments are made up to six weeks after the census date, subject to the recipient maintaining ongoing eligibility requirements.
Payment will be made after confirmation of:
- the recipient's enrolment in an undergraduate or postgraduate QCGU program
- a satisfactory report from the organist at St John's Cathedral for the duration of the student's study at QCGU (second payment only).
Applications, including any supporting documentation, must be completed and submitted by the closing date.

Applicants may be shortlisted and be required to provide additional information.
Griffith University reserves the right to withdraw an advertised scholarship at any time.
Donor details
This scholarship has been established by the FW and EG Harmer Memorial Scholarship Fund in conjunction with the Queensland Conservatorium and St John's Cathedral.
An associate of the Royal College of Organists, Andrej Kouznetsov graduated from Sydney Conservatorium having won several awards while holding the roles of organ scholar at the University of Sydney and St James', King Street, where he was subsequently appointed organist. He has been organ scholar and director of the Cathedral Chamber Choir at Salisbury Cathedral, and organ scholar at Westminster Abbey, where he regularly accompanied and conducted the Abbey's world-renowned choir, and took part in high-profile events. Andrej maintains a busy recital schedule internationally.
