Help change the way we do business
In an era where companies are regularly 'named and shamed' for environmental or human rights abuses, companies are recognising that sustainable business practices can help them rise above the competition and stay there.
Today's business leaders need to balance the needs of business, communities and the environment. Corporate social responsibility and sustainability have emerged as global management priorities. An organisation's impact on environmental and social issues is as important as the bottom line. A lack of commitment to these issues can result in increasing public scrutiny, with serious consequences for an organisation's future and its employees.

Brittany Laidlaw embraced the far-reaching opportunities that student life brought to develop her global outlook. Brazil, Thailand, Nepal and the Philippines were among the countries where she expanded and enhanced her knowledge of the world while studying sustainable enterprise at Griffith. Through Global Voices and a Prime Minister's Australia Asia Endeavour Award, Brittany built a firsthand knowledge base around international relations, Asia, and how inequality is intertwined with world politics and economics. When she graduated, Brittany turned her attention to developing a permaculture project in Hong Kong. 'My business degree and my experiences as a Griffith student inspired me to pursue an opportunity on an international scale with confidence and with a firm belief that I could make a difference,' she says.
