Our program has been developed in accordance with the requirements of Engineers Australia, giving you access to leading engineering specialists, academics and researchers from around the globe as well as accreditation once you complete your undergraduate degree. Our programs have a strong practical focus; our industry placements provide you with the opportunity to develop work-ready skills and our teaching focuses on learning by doing. Our engineering degrees come under the Washington Accord, which means you can also get international accreditation for your studies.

Minors: coastal and water engineering, construction engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, computation engineering, environmental management, pollution monitoring and control, water engineering.

Brodie Chan

Griffith engineering graduate

Currently working as an engineer with Brisbane consultancy GHD, Brodie Chan's engineering degree included access to major engineering companies, projects and programs in Australia and internationally. Brodie was also involved in the Griffith Honours College, which gave him the opportunity to volunteer in Vietnam, attend the APEC Youth Summit in Bali and co-ordinate local volunteering projects. Brodie also travelled to Kassel, Germany, as part of a four-week engineering and cultural training module. 'Studying at Griffith has broadened my perspective and given me the confidence, opportunities and the practical tools to go on and achieve my goals as a civil engineer,' he says.
