Study journalism, communications, media and public relations at Griffith

Is journalism your calling?

The answer may be yes if you are enquiring and open minded. If you have an interest in helping to inform and educate people about decisions affecting their community and other key issues. If you want to write for a magazine or blog on a niche topic that engages and interests you, such as travel or sports. Or if you have a flair for words and want to see where a major in journalism, communications and public relations can take you.

Our intensive programs at Griffith are designed to give you strong journalistic skills and a critical understanding of the role of the media in local, regional, national and global contexts. You'll learn specialised techniques and have access to state-of-the-art facilities, including a digital television and radio studio, editing suites, a writing and media studio and a journalism studio, so you can hit the ground running as a working reporter or as a professional in your chosen field. You'll also have opportunities to gain hands-on experience across the full spectrum of modern media platforms.

Designed in conjunction with industry specialists, our courses at Griffith will equip you with the techniques and practical knowhow to enter the dynamic, competitive world of professional media practice.
