Practical creative experience

Griffith has long been associated with creativity and dynamism in the arts and you’ll be immersed in an environment that’s rich in resources and buzzing with activity.

Studying here, you’ll pursue innovative inquiry on the large and small screens, taking advantage of coursework opportunities for hands-on creative engagement and experience.

Explore cinema and television history and theory, screenwriting, video production and documentary, examining these subjects in a thought-provoking way that’s also academically rigorous. Develop real world skills and knowledge as you learn from screen and media experts.

You’ll discover the effective techniques that create impact and meaning. You’ll learn to investigate and critically analyse the rise of the information age along with the invention, adaptation, uses and wider impacts of communication technologies. Your degree combines film studies with filmmaking, giving you a better understanding of the industry and how it operates.

Screen studies at Griffith can also turn the spotlight on a world of thrilling opportunities, such as the possibility of working at local and international film festivals.

With a specialisation in screen studies you’ll gain technical proficiency and creative confidence, becoming more knowledgeable, thoughtful and articulate as a creator and a consumer of screen representations.

As a Communications and Information Systems Controller, Daniel manages, monitors and maintains Local Area Networks, as well as operate communication facilities and safe keep classified data.
