Develop specialist software skills to present powerful forms of visual information through motion graphics and visual effects
Visualisation considers the multidisciplinary aspects of static, interactive, virtual and augmented media technologies and explores their application in areas such as architecture, medicine and healthcare, science, games and entertainment. Alongside design theories, processes and methods, you'll master software for digital 3D modelling, simulation and presentation.
You'll investigate innovative design strategies and develop critical and creative thinking tools for problem solving. Acquiring these visualisation skills will enable you to respond to contemporary design challenges.
Study visualisation at Griffith
Visualise concepts and data across architecture, health and engineering; create reconstructions in the fields of archaeology and criminology; and utilise gameplay for education purposes.
From creative sculpture to scientific scanning, you’ll be using digital software to imagine, design, and construct 3D forms in virtual environments. You can develop your skills in the creative design and practical construction of strong immersive experiences with digital visualisation tools, such as game development platforms for use in virtual and augmented reality devices.
Graduates of Visualisation are at the forefront of emerging and experimental design practices.
Continue your studies
You’ll be equipped to complete honours and doctoral studies. Guided by academics, you can undertake an intensive research course and research dissertation to enhance your skills.
Design graduates are eligible for membership of the Design Institute of Australia.
